I'm pleased to share that our new paper, " A reduced model of soldering-to-flaming (StF) transition ," has just been published in Combustion and Flame as an open-access article. https://authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S0010-2180(25)00689-3 This work presents a simplified model to understand how smoldering turns into flaming—a key process in fire dynamics and wildfire research.
We had a wonderful reunion in Ginza with our PhD graduates and current students. Nicharee, who completed our PhD program in October 2024, is now working as a postdoctoral researcher at Case Western Reserve University. Memi, who also graduated in October this year, is now working in Japan. We wish them continued success. 当研究室出身の博士2名が遊びに来てくれました!
