Classes taught in English by Kazunori Kuwana

火災物理・化学概論 (Fundamentals of Fire Physics and Chemistry): This class covers key physical and chemical phenomena related to fire, including combustion reactions, heat transfer, ignition, fire spread, combustion rate, buoyant gas flow, combustion products, and aspects of compartment fires. The goal is to understand these elements and their roles in fire phenomena. 火災実験 (Experimental Study on Fire Dynamics): Learn to use key fire experiment instruments and measurement techniques through hands-on practice. Gain a fundamental understanding of fire dynamics, including combustion, burning rate, compartment fires, and flame spread. Develop skills to analyze and communicate fire experiment results effectively.  化学火災特論 (Advanced topics in chemical fires): This course explores the mechanisms and characteristics of chemical fires—those involving easily ignitable substances that spread rapidly and are difficult to extinguish. Through case studies and the study of combustion, explosion, ignition, ...
